Welcome to the Nixara’s Awakening Universe. I am Amber Morgan, a multidisciplinary creative with a Postgraduate in Cyber Forensics and a Bachelor of Design. I created the Nixara’s Awakening Universe, an interconnected world spanning multiple book series and mediums, including Where Shadows Bloom: Tamed by Instinct and Nixara’s Awakening: A Forbidden Quest. Both serve as entry points into their respective sagas.
My storytelling goes beyond books. I am an award-winning filmmaker and screenwriter. My short film Reverie continues to captivate international festivals, earning an honourable mention from the Athens Monthly Art Festival, an award from New Jersey Shorts, recognition from the London Women’s Film Festival, and screenings in Los Angeles and South Korea.
My latest screenplay, Ember & I, was officially selected for the Love & Hope International Film Festival in Barcelona, won Best Short Screenplay at the New Jersey Shorts Awards, and received an Honourable Mention at the Athens International Monthly Art Film Festival. The screenplay is adapted from my short story collection, Silent Conversations.
Additionally, my screenplay Baited Silence was recognised by the Melbourne International Screenplay Awards and officially selected for the London International Screenplay Awards.
Alongside my writing and filmmaking work, I also work as a fine artist, creating layered experimental pieces tied to the worlds, themes, and symbolism of the Nixara’s Awakening Universe. A number of original works and prints have begun finding homes with private collectors, with additional fine art pieces and collections soon to be introduced through my website.
Following a successful appearance at Supanova Gold Coast in April 2026, I will next appear as a guest author at Capricon in Rockhampton, followed later in the year by the Sunshine Coast Fiction Festival and Supanova Brisbane.
